Tips for beginner runners, from a beginner runner

The pandemic, especially the start of it, certainly left me more sedentary. I started working from home and rarely stepped out my door — I knew there had to be a change in my daily routine to preserve my health and well-being. For me, it was adopting an exercise regime.
Hence running came into my life. As soon as I shut off my work computer, I would put on my trainers, jog to the nearby trail or the gym downstairs, and run for two miles. It is early 2022 at the time of this writing, and I can proudly say that I have been keeping up with it for almost two years.
I feel it is imperative for me to note here that I have never been or considered myself a fitness junkie. Running, let alone any cardio, was always out of the question when looking for a new workout plan (that I would probably grow bored of and ditch in just a couple of weeks). But over the last two years, I learned and implemented a few tricks to make my daily runs more bearable and enjoyable. I thought they might be worth sharing, in case you are also a beginner runner and would like to add it to your routine.
